We are a group of parents and individuals living in Newton who are concerned about the harmful health effects on children caused by leaf blowers. The pages exist for educational purposes and members are encouraged to add pertinent information to share with others. The discussion board exists for discussing steps that can be taken to help minimize health effects so as to better protect our children and the vulnerable in our population.

We belong to an International Organization of EcoMoms, started by Kimberly Pinkson as a grassroots, global movement toward a sustainable future and helping to reduce the climate crisis. While the Easton EcoMom Alliance is part of an international community of EcoMoms, we are almost completely autonomous in how we hold our meetings, our topics, and our events. Hi, We meet and discuss one book each month. Active book club members suggest books and we vote for "the book of the month" at the end of each meeting. We like to read books that would contribute attaining higher levels of consciousness and better awareness on the path of spiritual growth. Our first meeting was on April 16, 2008 to discuss Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" at Borders in Shrewsbury, MA. Our new meeting place is Shrewsbury Public Library.
